The Towpath from Treviso

Departure: Treviso zona Fiera (Treviso)
Arrival: Casale sul Sile (Casale sul Sile)
Duration: 1.5, round-trip 3 hours
Length: about 4.5 km, round-trip 29 km
Involved Municipalities: Casale sul Sile, Treviso

Path conditions: paved roads or well-kept white roads
Car Park: Treviso Fairgrounds

The itinerary starts from Treviso, near the harbour where the burgi (barges) once arrived and stopped, and follows the path of the oxen that dragged the boats along the Sile towpaths. The burci cemetery is fascinating, equipped with walkways where, in addition to the wrecks, it is possible to discover a rich and interesting nature.
