The walk skirts the mill, offering evocative views of the river where the water flows clear and sparkling, the boughs of the trees reach down to touch the water and the birds cheep melodiously. The Reserve is crossed by three "nature trails" laid out along the banks from where you can watch birds such as the little grebe, little gull, grey heron, night heron, mallard and moorhen. Walking along the paths through the Reserve in the nesting season, you can see or hear the continuous call of the young birds who constantly ask to be fed.
